Orlando is situated in Central Florida and is well placed for the east and west coasts. Even in the south, easy access is available using the top quality road and rail systems which gets you down to Miami and the Florida keys within hours, and to the north Jacksonville and Daytona.Florida weather can be superb, hot, humid, cool even wet and windy! It all depends on what time of year you travel.

Two main airports serve the area. MCO International is centrally based, where as Sanford airport is about 45 minutes north of Orlando. Both airports are prompt, efficient and easily accessible to your hotel, villa or other accommodations.
Kissimmee, a short ride south, offers a huge variety of accommodation and entertainment.
Travel along the ongoing refurbished 192 highway and you will appreciate what this great area of Florida can offer you and your family. Discover Dinner shows, Mini golf, Old town, Kart parks, Airboat rides, Fishing, Flea markets, Helicopter rides and much more to keep the family amused.
Apart from Disney theme parks, many other attractions cover this large expanding area of Orlando. Surrounding International Drive, you can find Universal Studios, Wet n Wild, Sea world and Discovery cove.

The new refurbished Cypress Gardens and Splash Island water park in the wonderful lake area of Winter Haven just a few miles south of Orlando is a great day out for couples and families.
As a family, we have found over the years that the east and west coasts offer action packed days out away from Orlando.With an hour’s drive west, along the much improved I-4, you can be in Tampa, Busch Gardens, and the sunkissed beaches of the gulf coast. To the east, you have the fantastic Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral plus great Atlantic beaches to explore.Discover Orlando golf and fishing...any fanatics in the family, then no worries! These two sports are in abundance in Orlando, from top class championship courses to 3-par courses, and hundreds of lakes surrounding the area with big mouth bass and many other spices to fish. The choices are endless.
Discover Orlando shopping... 'Shop till you drop' is the motto in Orlando. My family goes wild in the malls, outlets and flea markets. Make sure you budget accordingly for your shopping sprees, prices do vary but top named products can be purchased at bargin prices.
Dining out is great fun, from all American burger bars to fish, lobster, steaks, buffet restaurants, themed dinner shows and international cuisines. This part of Florida has it all to suit all budgets.

An experience on its own. From the bars, themed night clubs at 'Disney’s Pleasure Island' and Universals 'City walk' , to the drive bys in 'Old Town Kissimmee'.The choice is endless; it’s all down to your family requirements as a few places do have age restrictions for entry.
The age limit for consuming alcohol is 21 in Florida. From our own family experience’s this is strictly enforced. ID has to be shown if anyone looks under the age of 30.
