Boggy Creek Airboat Rides
Glide through Florida's native wetlands!

boggy-creek-airboat-orlando-floridaDo you fancy a break away from the crowds and theme parks?

Then take a short drive down to Boggy Creek, a 30min trip along from Kissimmee.

Board one of three airboats which will glide you across the central Florida everglades.

Relax for 2-3 hours and experience wildlife, alligators, turtles, eagles and much more! We had a fantastic time from Grandma to James our youngest.

Locations:

This is one of the most popular Orlando airboat rides in the area and is located at two locations, Southport Park on the shores of West Lake Toha and East Lake Fish Camp which is closer to Orlando and Kissimmee.

We visited Southport Park because of its location to our accommodation; you really need a vehicle as the journey is around 20 miles from Kissimmee.

They are open 364 days a year (weather permitting) between 9am - 5pm see below:

boggy-creek-alligator-nest-orlandoWe spent the morning here and had a fantastic time; the people were friendly and full of information.

After the initial walk around the gift shop, we decided to take the 30 minute airboat ride which lasted around 45 minutes.

This included an alligator nest's (great photo place) bird and wildlife sanctuary's and ended with been whisked across the lake around 45mph (Brilliant)

We returned to our villa and chilled out around the pool for the rest of the day to charge up those batteries for the next day's onslaught to the parks! Had we realised before, we could have taken a picnic and spent a little more time there, as seating areas under shaded trees was also close by over looking the lake.
