Affordably Orlando Dining Guide.
Our Personal Choices & Recommendations!
To
start our personal dining guide, what we recommend on this page are our own views
and thoughts.
If you would like to follow this guide during your stay in Orlando please feel
free.
We choose to dine out around Orlando at the following restaurants, on
the budgets we have set out before arriving in Central Florida.
Being a family group of seven to eight people, and with an assortment of ages
and tastes, the following Orlando dining guide is our own personal choice from
restaurants and buffets to a touch of fine dining.
If you and your family or travel companions are food connoisseurs, and a
particular style of dining is to your liking, we recommend this useful website,
which we think promotes that personal Orlando dining guide
you require to suit you.
If you have read previous pages on our website, you will have noticed that
we always stay in Orlando villas when we
come to Florida.
So, you might start thinking 'why go out to eat when you have your own
facilities at the villa'...easy really, as much as we like the home from home
touch, we are on holiday and its nice to wonder off some where for lunch
or an evening meal on the odd occasion.
Here's our Favourites:
Sizzler's:
Yes,
we know the buffet style menu...but I will speak for all the family here because
they all read this page before it goes online...Very good value for money and healthy
choices are available for everyone.
Select from a wide selection of food from the menu.
Steaks, rice dishes, pasta dishes and other assorted meats and a huge salad bar,
with kids choices
to keep most young ones happy...with the very young ones eating free.
What we like about Sizzler's as with most buffet style restaurants, you pay
a set price for your meals then eat what you require, so when you leave
you are 'well stuffed'...as voiced by my youngest every time.
Waiters look after your table so remember to tip before
you leave...we normally leave a $1 Dollar per family member on the table. If you want, you
can pre-pay your tip when you order your food...but we like the personal touch and tip at
the end.
Sizzlers are located
in and around Orlando; we always use the one on the 192
between markers 5 & 6. Also, remember
your discounted coupons,
to save a few Dollars (Download & Print), worth adding to your Orlando restaurants and dining guide.
Angel's Buffet & Diner:
If
you love all kinds of seafood especially lobster, crab, and the odd prime rib thrown in...
again this is the place to add to your Orlando dining guide.
This costs around $20 - $30 per person depending on ages...but like Sizzler's,
you eat till your stuffed. One drawback, it becomes very busy during peak hours!
What is popular is the set buffet prices between 4pm - 6pm (Peak Hours)...try to catch
these times towards the end, its quieter by then...plus discounted tickets are
available in coupon books all around Orlando and Kissimmee.
We visit Angel's along the 192 close to marker 6
located in the Holiday Inn, a large
car park is available around the side of the hotel...the staff are friendly although worked
off their feet and the restaurant is clean and tidy.
Steak N Shake:
We
have always called in to the restaurant
opposite Pirates Cove mini golf venue along the 192 between markers 14 & 15...
and for all the times we've been a nice choice of food
has been available.
Personally I love the soup of the day...very tasty. We would recommend you add
this restaurant to your Orlando dining guide.
Sunkissed tip;
Steak N Shake is a handy restaurant to use before you visit the Flea market close by.
Burger King:
If
you're into the Burger outlets...out of all the popular named places we
recommend Burger King. Nice juicy fresh
beef burgers and much more are on offer.
Loads of locations are
available.
We normally use Burger King when we arrive in Orlando for quickness and
on departure day before we travel back to the airport.
Outback Steakhouse:
Australia
comes to Orlando big style with this very popular outlet chain of restaurants.
If you like steaks, you will love the Outback.
Slighty more expensive but this does include waiter service. Around $160+ for
seven people with drinks...well worth it though...pre book your table around 1hr before
you arrive or you will not get in.
Choose from a wide selection menu, including most type of steaks...highly
recommended. We visit the Outback situated off the 192 at marker 4
in the Golden China area...lot's of car parking spaces available.
Check this website
for other locations, phone numbers, menus and opening times...Highly recommended on
our Orlando dining guide!
Shoney's:
Require
a great start to the day then pop into Shoney's.
Before you start your adventures at the theme parks or deciding to have a day away
from Orlando, visit Shoney's for a full on breakfast
Many people including us, highly recommend you pop this onto your Orlando dining guide
for a stopover. Keeps the stomachs full and the food prices down in the
parks...You will not be disappointed!
