Here’s our personal view to Universal CityWalk entertainment, around this fun packed 30 acre district. For further information, just click on the blue hyperlinks and this will direct you through to Universals Web site and other helpful resources. Bookmark as required, as this info is useful to know before you travel to Orlando, especially if you have children, and you are working on a budget or planning your days before you arrive in Universal Studios Orlando Florida.
Therefore, in no particular order, here’s our CityWalk entertainment views;
- Bob Marley – A tribute to Freedom.
We love this club, for its ‘family atmosphere, excellent music and good Cajun food’.
If Reggie is your thing, it’s a great start to get you in the mood to explore the rest of Citywalk after 9pm.
Staff are friendly and courteous, and with a good selection of Jamaican- influenced food and Reggie music, on our recommendation you will not be disappointed if you and your family are Bob Marley fans.
Children under 18 are not allowed in after 9pm, an entrance charge (cover) of $7 Dollars is introduced, unless a CityWalk pass is produced.
- The Red Coconut Club.
Unfortunately not for the under 21’s, however if you do have a baby sitter within your family or group and you want a night out this is a great place to start.
It sits on top of Citywalk, so on a hot night, you can sit on the balcony and view the stars and sights of the surrounding area, if that’s not for you, enjoy the night club and the contemporary lounge, and try the cocktails on offer…you’ll love them!
Food is available throughout opening times (6-7pm to 2am).
Happy hour; times vary (Sun-Wed 7pm-9pm and Thurs-Sat 6pm-8pm), again an admission charge (cover) of $7 Dollars comes into force from 9pm, or show your CityWalk entertainment pass or Orlando Flex ticket.
- The Groove.
Its party-party all the way at this popular night club here in CityWalk Orlando, no children allowed though
Dance the night away to 70's, 80's dance hits and alternative rock; this place is popular with the local residents of Orlando, so it does become busy at the weekends.
Opening times are 9pm- 2am every night. 21 and over is the required age limit, $7 Dollars or CityWalk entertainment pass is required.
- Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
After leaving the Bob Marley venue, Jimmy Buffett's is the place, we end up for the rest of the night, when we have James (15 year old) with us.
With three bars, a huge dining room and a dance floor area…that 'Florida Keys' feeling is all around you.
The staff are friendly, the food is outstanding with lots on your plate, and not too pricey…Remember try the 'Margarita's', one can easily lead to many…great fun.
Jimmy's is very busy in the peak seasons so priority seating is advisable, we recommend this helpful link to keep you posted on what's happening at Jimmy's through out the year.
Opening times are daily from 11.30am-2.00am and live entertainment from 10pm, standard entrance charge from 10pm.
- Pat O' Brian's.
We normally pop in here when we leave the parks for a drink and sit down (recommend the Guinness), adults only allowed in the main bar area but children are allowed in the piano bar and court yard.
This is the New Orleans home of Duelling Piano's, great fun for all the family, if it suits your requirements.
Great hospitality, excellent CityWalk entertainment, and a brilliant atmosphere…Give it a try…Don't Forget try the famous Hurricane…be warned it packs a punch!!!!
The food here is superb, from a choice of Cajun, Catfish, Shrimp Creole and Jambalaya are all on offer. We recommend this useful link to keep you updated regarding Pat O' Brian's.
- City Walks Rising Star.
Opened March 21st 2008Here’s your chance to be in the band! At CityWalk’s Rising Star karaoke club (Ex CityJazz), you take center stage as the lead singer of a band. This is real music, played live while you belt out your favorite songs in front of a live audience! So check the times of these venues.
18 and over applies for this venue. Admissions (cover) are $7 Dollars from 8pm, or use your CityWalk Party pass.
