Welcome To
Disney’s
Blizzard Beach

blizzard-beach-ariel-view-orlando-florida

Hello guys…join our family adventures to discover Disney’s Blizzard Beach. The largest water park at Walt Disney World Orlando Florida...and we love it!!!!!!

At the centre of the park is Mt Gushmore, from here its downhill all the way, with a choice of white water rafting, flumes, tube runs, bobsledes & waterslides.

To give your heart that ‘extra adrenalin push’ (Remember not for everyone) plunge down ‘Summit Plummet’ – one of the tallest, fastest free-fall speed slides and take the rest of the day to recover relaxing in the ‘Melt Away Bay Pool’ or our favourite ‘Cross Country Creek’. Take a look at our Blizzard Beach map to experience the thrill and spills.

blizzard-beach-family-orlando Blizzard Beach along with Typhoon Lagoon is a fantastic way to wind down and give the theme parks a day off, and charge those batteries for your next visit to one of the many attractions on offer through out Orlando Florida.

Here are the opening times for all the Disney parks through out the year.

“Remember nice early start to beat the crowds in the High Season”

How to
Find
The Park

As with the other Disney parks… you need to find out how you get to Blizzard Beach. This depends on where you are traveling from. If you are staying at a Disney resort then no worries, your transport will be available from your resort area.

Will you be traveling by car? Once again this will depend on where you are traveling from using the I4, 192, Osceola parkway etc. All these roads do converge into Disney’s road system which will take you to Blizzard Beach please see our map section. Follow the road signs which clearly mark which theme park you require.

Blizzard Beach sits along side the Osceola Parkway so you do not have to venture down World Drive if you are coming from the South and the South East.

Entering
Blizzard Beach

blizzard-beach-entrance-orlando Nice and easy to find, straight from the car park to the entrance, if you don’t have your Disney tickets available you can purchase these to the left of the main entrance.

Expect bag searches to be carried out.

Sunkissed tip;

Now if you want to be famous, volunteer you’re self and family to open up the park on the day of your visit, again arrive early, and position yourself over to the right of the entrance and start a general talk to the Disney staff at the entrance about 30 minutes before opening time.

However to open up the park you have to slide down ‘Summit Plummet’ while the crowds watch you, Great……………..Fun! For the crowds to hear the screams!

Once you enter the park especially in the high season, there is always a rush to find the best seats and sun lounges so this is what we advise;
blizzard-beach-orlando

  • Find your seats first - before you use the lockers and changing areas they go quick….you can always return to the lockers and changing areas afterwards

  • If you are the sun worshippers - place your selves around the Melt Away Bay Pool… Remember the high factor sun cream; this place can Bar-B-Q you on a hot day.

  • Like the shade – Turn left or right at the main bridge and find your selves seats with canopies or a well shaded tree area. Lots of refreshments and eating places on offer along both sides.

  • Young children or Babies – Head over to Tike’s Peak; a toddler’s version of Blizzard Beach.

The Rides!!!!!!

Now you are positioned for the day its time for ‘the fun to begin’ so take a look at your Park map and let the onslaught begin.

Sunkissed tip;

Go for ‘Summit Plummet’ first if you are the thrill seekers, in high season, this gets extremely busy with people followed by ‘Slush Gusher’ and ‘Team Boat Springs’…

Here’s a full run down on all the ‘thrills and spills’ on offer at Blizzard Beach;

  1. Cross Country Creek
  2. Melt Away Bay
  3. Downhill Double Dipper
  4. Runoff Rapids
  5. Snow Storm
  6. Toboggen Racers
  7. Slush Gusher
  8. Summit Plummet
  9. Teamboat Springs
  10. Ski Patrol Training Camp
  11. Tike’s Peak
  12. Chairlift
  13. Winter Summerland

Where to Dine

disneys-blizzard-beach-orlando-florida Remember you are in a water park, so you will not find as many places to dine, as you will find in the main theme parks. However don’t worry here’s a helpful guide for you to browse through regarding food and drink availability.
